Saturday's game (1/31) will be at 6 p.m. Players wear white jerseys and white socks (and have blue jersey available).

Spring player balances are due Feb. 11 to the team.

With two sick players missing time, the Monarchs won by eight goals for the second straight week and moved into first place in the TISL standings. The team scored goals on 44 percent of their shots (a season best, and their third highest conversion percentage in team history, after two 50 percent shooting matches in the fall TASL season). They also set a team record for assists in a game with eight.

Jan. 24 Game

The January 24th game is at 6 p.m. at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School. Wear blue jerseys and black socks (and, as always, have the white jersey available).

Practice reminder

We will have practice Friday at 4:00pm at the church. If the weatherman is right (who am I kidding) it will be in the mid 50's, so no one is in danger of frost bite this week.

The Monarchs scored seven second half goals, while only allowing one goal on six opponent shots. The teams' nine goals were the most by any team in their division this season, and their eight-goal victory margin is also the season's best for the U-10 White division. The Monarchs also lead their division in goals allowed for the season (3).

The victory earned them three points in the standings, and put them in a two-way tie for second place, with the CUSC Crusaders. The CUSC Strikers hold a two-point advantage in the standings, but have played one more game than the Monarchs, who had a bye in week one. With a win in next week's game, the Monarchs can move into no worse than a tie for first place in the standings.

After trailing 2-1, the Monarchs tied their first indoor match with less than 2 minutes to play. The tie earned them 1 point in the league standings. The Monarchs had a bye in week one, and the Crusaders were coming off a 6-2 victory.
