Monarchs scored in the championship game's first minute and gave up a goal on a penalty kick for a 1-1 halftime tie. The Monarch's converted on a corner kick to take the lead in the second half, and added an extra goal in the final 90 seconds of a hard-fought match with the Rampage from Fredericksburg. The Monarchs allowed only two goals in four tournament matches, both on penalty kicks.

Monarchs finish first in their group after going to the third tie-breaker with the Fury (Goals Scored). The win over the Strikers was the Monarchs' 60th all-time. The win and tie extended the Monarchs' streak to 13 straight matches without a loss.

Coastal Kickfest

This weekend's Coastal Kickfest tournament schedule has been finalized (we are in the U 11/12 All Star Division).

All games will be at Williams Farm Park (5252 Learning Circle Virginia Beach, VA 23462).

Saturday's games are set for 9:30 and 12:30. Sunday's games will depend on Saturday's results.
